I took Justin to the library today. This was our 3rd visit to check out books...he likes to look at the books and just like home, pull them off the shelf and put them on the floor...so we picked out some books and I even got one too....then back to the magazine area....they have the magazines I like too and after they are one month old, you can check them out...so I got a few to look through...
Anyway, I was appreciating our library since we have made it our Tuesday thing to do here in town. I want Justin to appreciate books. . .

Going Green . a day at a time
So today I have been on a mission to save money...well all this week has been my mission. No more eating out, etc...and we needed a few things from the wallyworld today, so off I went with my list.
We needed TP - I refuse to go totally cheap on this, so I buy charmin....not the most spendy, but not the cheapest either.
Liquid washing soap - I use this for what doesn't go in the dishwasher and my last stockpile is almost gone.
Jet Dry - now Todd says we need this for our dishwasher, but I am not totally sure you HAVE to have to run your dishwasher? Anyone else know for sure?
Old English to Dust - well, this is really why I am posting. I decided that I could probably dust with what we have here at home so I found a green website Homemade Household Cleaners and got the ingredients...it is great. I put it in a spray bottle and walla-free dusting stuff.

We have had a pretty low key weekend so far. 7 things - I have been tagged
1. I met my husband Todd online (Match.com)
2. I was an Honored Queen for the International Order of Job's Daughters in High School
3. I love accounting and paying bills. I can't wait to pay bills every month - not that I like not having that money in my account, but the whole process thrills me.
4. I miss living back home where all my family lives. I feel like the odd one out when they all live within 2 hours of each other
5. I am a real bargain hunter. I hate spending too much money on items...like clothes that Justin will grow out of....luckily our store here always has clearance that is very inexpensive and I can stock up for next year....
6. I miss working sometimes...I do value my time with Justin, but I really miss the social aspect of work and the gratification of finishing a big project and I miss going to meetings, etc.....
7. I don't think I cooked more than about 10 meals after I married Todd...when I lived alone I ate frozen dinners or easy to cook dinners, nothing monumental, so when we got married Todd did pretty much ALL of the cooking until Justin was about 6 months old....now, I plan and prepare our dinners at least 4-5 nights of the week...we try to have a leftover night on Friday's, and get rid of what is getting old. Tonight is a crockpot chicken w/stove top stuffing ... from my fix and forget book....should be pretty good.
I think I need to tag people...so Dana and Kay you are tagged.

Our busy weekend.
This past weekend we went to the park to attend a 1st birthday party of a friend....here are some of Justin's friends at the party....Justin, Abigail, and Tsiava.....

I let Justin play in the dirt and some of the kids had squirt bottles with fans, so they were all spraying each other and of coarse, water and dirt = mud!!! He had a fun time...

We spend the rest of the weekend with Grandma Nellie...Todd is working on her roof, so we hung out with her...he naps great at her house, and we had a lot of fun....

Goofy
This morning Justin was being plain old Goofy...two hats on at once. Hats are surely the "in" thing...
We have been trying to get back to a normal schedule around here.....had a rough few days after coming home from our visit with the family. First 4 nights were awful...but after last Thursday, it has been better. We have also grown up to only 1 nap per day.....I think I like this schedule better...I can get things done in the morning in town if need, or we play while the weather is cool, then nap after lunch...
Justin had his 18 month doctor appointment last week. He weighed in at 24.8 pounds and 33 inches tall....tall and slim....just like Daddy

Justin's Wagon
A while back we inherited a Radio Flyer wagon that used to be Uncle Sam and Aunt Meghans when they were kids. Todd took it to the shop and gave it a new paint job. He was out this morning putting it all back together and brought it in for Justin to check out...He loves it...so this will probably be our new ride to get the mail and walk around the development....

Pizza
Last night we had Pizza for dinner. We haven't really ever let Justin have pizza before, so this is a first....He liked it...as you can see it is all over the place....we went right to the tubby to get clean after this!

This is one of Justin's first peices of Art...we have many masterpieces in our house now..

An Artist at heart.
Yesterday we spent the day with Gina, Boone, Abigail, and Kay. We had a lot of fun and I realized that we need to up our Art time with Justin. Abigail has a desk for her art (and we will be getting one too), but in the mean time, we bought this a long long time ago at IKEA and now Justin can use it.
Daddy put it up this morning and we are enjoying doing Art while Mommy works on the computer.

Dancing to the music
Justin loves to dance to the country music! Sorry for the side view, don't think I can change that...and the hat was his own thing - he now loves to wear them around the house, hat and diaper - no clothes is the choice outfit most days.
